The comfort level depends on the gun carried and how loose on the hips one wants to carry it. The smart carry holster was a good idea where the holster would be carried at the 12 to 1 o’clock position low inside the pants. One of the nice perks of this holster is that if you order it for a double stack Glock, all of the double stack Glocks. It would rub a little while running in an appendix position and would be sweaty on hot days or heavy exercise. But there was a little too much material toward the bottom of the “cone”.
It fits full size service guns to the smallest 380s The downside is a slower draw in part because the gun is carried horizontally rather than vertically. The magnetic clasp holds the pouch closed. There is no bouncing up and down while jogging.
The pouch is held snug to the body and securely holds the firearm no matter the exercise. The neoprene material is very comfortable. The most comfortable sweatpants holster I have is the pistolwear PT-2 Orginal brave response holster, uses less material and I find to be more comfortable. I can wear it at both at 4 o’clock position or appendix in comfort. The tension of the Velcro closed belt material holds the gun well. ( unlike a lot of a lot of the belly bands out there). The Velcro tab over the trigger guard pulls the butt of the gun closer to the body as well as prevents something from pushing thru the fabric into the trigger well. It fits all of my pistols with adjusustments. Out of all the holsters and belly bands I have collected over the years, here are some I have or continue to use. I prefer to wear one that has its own “belt” under the sweatpants. While I have used IWB holsters on the sweatpants waist string time to time this is less secure than I am comfortable with. And if I have to go outside for just a little while I won’t necessarily change but will arm up. With the Covid19 making me hang around the house more, I am wearing my sweatpants more and more other than just to the gym.
